Its been a very busy bridal season here at Olga's Brides. I find myself so tied up with work and inquires from new clients (no complaints here) that I barely get a chance to update my website and Facebook page. I've had the honor of painting some beautiful faces lately. These ladies have inner as well as outer beauty and it was a pleasure to join them on this exciting journey that is wedding planning. Its really remarkable how much blood, sweat and tears (and ahem, money) goes into planning such an incredible day and just like that its over. Thank goodness for the art of photography and videography. Without both, brides and grooms would never be able to relive the special day that came and went so quickly. And let's not forget to thank the amazing Makeup artists (pat self on the back) and hair stylists who help their brides achieve her bridal look of her dreams! The photos below are of Fatima, Kelly, and Klaudia. Fatima, my lovely traditional Pakistani bride. Her traditional dress was custom made in Pakistan and was simply a beautiful work of art. The amazing photography is by Sean Kim of Sean Gallery Photography. His website is www.seangallery.com. He was very nice to work with and I know that fatima just loved him! Kelly, the wife of one of my old High School buddies is an incredible woman, mother and wife. She and Eric have been together for about a decade and are still so deeply in love, you would think they just met. Hair and makeup was done at their home in New Jersey and the groom and his groomsmen stayed at a nearby hotel. When Eric arrived to the house, both Bride and Groom burst into tears when seeing one another for the reveal/first look which was captured by the videographer. The emotion was so raw, passionate and compelling. I can't begin to articulate what a touching and beautifully profound moment that was. There was no denying the connection, love and appreciation they have for one another. Even as I sit here writing about it, I have tears in my eyes. It was truly incredible to witness! Photography by:(Will update this once I get the accurate contact info) Klaudia, my little cutie patutie. She is one of the sweetest, kindest and appreciative girls I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. From the first inquiry to the last time we spoke, she has been nothing but thankful and pleasant. It's incredible to know and work on brides like Klaudia, whom are beautiful not only on the outside, but the inside too! Till next time :) Olga Fatima 6/30/13 Photgraphy by: www.seangallery.com Kelly 3/24/13 Photography by: Klaudia 6/22/13

Its been quite a while since my last post. I keep meaning to update my blog, but somehow end up neglecting it. I know. No bueno. But hey, here I am, and more excited than ever to share my journey.
Since my disappearing act, I have been hard at work with my bridal business. I've had the honor of beating some lovely faces with my tools and made some new friends along the way. Thanks to social media, I've been able to keep in touch with these lovely ladies and get to see their professional photos as soon as they share them. They are also really awesome with emailing me extras that didn't get posted online, but I always have the toughest time choosing which images to post in my gallery. I just love them all so much! Than it hit me. Why not dedicate an entire blog where I can post all the images I loved so much. So, I've done just that. Please enjoy browsing through these great images of my lovely bride, Nadia. She was so much fun to work with. The energy in the room, between her and her bridesmaids was ideal for any wedding prep morning. They were so chill and down to earth. I can't wait to work with them again. Nadia and her bridesmaids all had airbrush makeup with false lashes. Nadia went for a very clean, classic and romantic look. Some of the cosmetics used were Makeup Forever, Temptu, Urban Decay, Dior, Nars, Laura Mercier and Bobby Brown. Hair done by the incredible Aycin. Photos by Pushkin Studio. www.photovideoking.com It's been a busy week booking trials and winter weddings. So before I get super busy, I wanted to share my two most recent summer brides. To the left we have Christina, my Egyptian Princess. She's such a sweet girl. Believe it or not, her makeup was VERY dramatic; very smokey eyes with 2 pairs of lashes! Talk about drama! To the right we have the amazing Phyllis, whom I've known for a few years as we used to be coworkers. She told me I'd be her makeup artist way before she even met her prince charming! Phyllis went for a more natural, soft look using airbrush makeup. Congratulations ladies!
So, its been nearly 3 months since my last post and its been a super busy 3 months! Weddings and trials galore. This for sure was my business bridal season ever. I did manage to squeeze in a nice birthday vacation to Florida though and now I am back on the grind doing a few summer weddings and trials for fall and winter weddings.
Below, I want to share a before and after of one of the loveliest brides I've ever had. Alina was just stunning! It was a very hot summer day and Alina chose to do airbrush makeup. There's really nothing like it in this heat and humidity! She sent me a text the next day saying that her makeup at 4am looked as though I had just done it... and I did it around 10am... a whole 18 hours prior!!! I will post Alina's proffessional images once she shares them with me. Until next time. xoxo, O p.s. Have you "liked" me on facebook? Oh my! I can't believe I haven't blogged in almost 2 months. I've been super duper busy with trials, weddings, photoshoots and just simply doing makeup. I'm not complaining whatsoever, I just hadn't realized how much time has gone by.
I've recently posted some new Bridal Editorial work as well as some real brides to my lovely brides section. There will be much more to add in the next 3 weeks as I am booked solid for weddings. I've received a lot of referrals lately from people i don't even know. I am extremely thankful and wish they would come forward so that I could express my gratitude! Come out, come out, where ever you are! hehe Stay turned for more! So, its been a very exciting week in the world of Olga's Faces! I have a new position with a magazine which I will discuss in the weeks to come (so psyched!), booked the new look book for Bigdropnyc.com for this Tuesday ("like" their FB fanpage peeps), worked with the incredible celebrity makeup artist, Ricky Wilson today (love him), booked a few of shoots and trials and weddings! Life is good!
So, I've been keeping very busy lately. Between weddings and trials, I'm booking more and more clients for party/night out makeup and I'm freelancing for Dior and Revive. I love Dior skin care and makeup and I LOVE Revive skincare. I could NEVER represent a line that I don't truly love and use personaIy. In the midst of all this work, I find that I have some random full day availabilities, so I've decided to use those days for discounted trials. Brides, keep checking back for last minute announcements!
I finally received a copy of the Comcast Ad I worked on a couple of months ago. This Ad was for the West Coast for Triple Play cable. The Model was such a lovely lady. She didn't even need makeup, she was that pretty! But of course, I did what I do best and played up her beauty!
Looks like my many of my emails to inquiring brides go to their spam. I wonder how many opportunities have been lost because of this? I guess I'll be setting up a new e-mail address through g-mail instead of my server. Wahhh. Stayed tuned for that update!
Just spent an hour on the phone with a bride to be. I came highly recommended to her by someone who saw my work on one of my past brides. Its so nice to have my work admired. I can't wait to do her trial next month!
